Archivarix Tube Search

Search archived YouTube videos and recover deleted video information.

Introduction

Archivarix Tube Search is a search engine for finding deleted, removed, and unavailable YouTube videos. It searches the Wayback Machine, Common Crawl, and other web archives to recover video metadata, thumbnails, subtitles, and links to archived video files. Over 1.5 billion YouTube video records have been indexed since 2005.

  • Search by Channel: Enter a YouTube channel URL or handle (@channelname) to find all archived videos from that channel. Discover deleted videos along with their original titles, descriptions, view counts, and thumbnails.
  • Search by Video URL or ID: Look up a specific deleted YouTube video by pasting its URL or 11-character video ID. View archived metadata, thumbnail images, and check if subtitles or the video file itself has been preserved in web archives.
  • Full-Text Search: Search across video titles, descriptions, and subtitle transcripts. Use quotes for exact phrases, minus sign to exclude words, and OR for alternatives.
  • Recover Subtitles: Download subtitles and closed captions from deleted YouTube videos in SRT format. Subtitles are recovered from YouTube's caption archives and Wayback Machine snapshots.
  • Find Archived Video Files: Check if the actual video file has been preserved on Archive.org. Watch deleted YouTube videos directly when archived copies are available.
  • Indexed Data: Over 1.5 billion YouTube video records indexed since 2005.
  • Recover Deleted Videos: Find and potentially watch deleted YouTube videos by accessing archived copies.
  • Research and Analysis: Access metadata, thumbnails, and subtitles of removed videos for research or archival purposes.
  • Content Recovery: Recover subtitles and metadata for videos that have been removed from YouTube.
