What is Unvent
Unvent is a Chrome extension that rewrites whatever you are typing, in place, in any editable text field on the web. It offers three tones—Polished, Direct, and Warm—that can be applied with one keystroke. Unvent also includes Unvent Flow, an on-device speech-to-text feature that turns speech into a clean draft.
How to use Unvent
- Install the Unvent extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- Type your message in any editable text field (e.g., Gmail, Slack, Linear, LinkedIn, Notion, Discord).
- Press the default keystroke (Ctrl+Shift+U, which is rebindable) to activate Unvent.
- Choose one of the three tones: Polished, Direct, or Warm.
- Press another key to apply the rewrite in place, with no new tab or copy-paste needed.
