AI platform for cited legal research, contract review, compliance, and document management
Vaquill AI is a legal AI platform designed for in-house and corporate legal teams. It reads your documents and knows the law, allowing you to ask legal questions, review contracts, and search thousands of files. Every answer shows where it came from, with citations linked to official sources.
Vaquill AI offers per-seat pricing with plans ranging from $79 to $299 per month (USD). Annual billing saves about 17%. Special pricing is available for nonprofits, law students, academic institutions, legal aid organizations, and small public-interest firms. A 7-day free trial is available on any plan.
How does Vaquill AI review vendor contracts, MSAs, and NDAs? Upload an inbound vendor contract or NDA and Vaquill AI runs a clause-by-clause review with green/yellow/red severity flags, redline suggestions against your playbook, and a real Word Track Changes DOCX export. NDA triage runs a 10-point screen and routes pass/review/reject.
How does the compliance check work, and which frameworks are covered? Check policies, contracts, DPAs, and vendor agreements against 11 frameworks in a single pass: CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, FERPA, COPPA, ADA, and GLBA. You get clause-level gap analysis, mapped to the exact text that satisfies or fails each requirement, with specific remediation recommendations.
Is Vaquill AI compliant with my confidentiality duties under Model Rules 1.6 and 1.13? Yes. Our confidentiality architecture (no-training commitment, PII anonymization, encryption, tenant isolation, US data residency) is designed around ABA Model Rule 1.6, Model Rule 1.13, and Formal Opinion 512. We track guidance from state bars including Texas Opinion 705, Florida Opinion 24-1, and California COPRAC guidance.
Do you offer a DPA, BAA, and SOC 2 report? DPA available on request for any plan. BAA available for healthcare-adjacent matters. SOC 2 Type II formal attestation is underway; SOC 2-aligned controls are operating today.
How is Vaquill AI different from GC AI, Harvey, or CoCounsel? GC AI is a $500/seat in-house tool focused on chat and Word integration. Harvey is enterprise-priced with sales-led procurement. CoCounsel is research-led and sales-gated. Vaquill AI sits well below GC AI on price, includes Document Matrix and full statute research that GC AI does not have, and is self-serve unlike Harvey.
Do you train on our team data? No. We never use your documents, prompts, or outputs to train AI models, unless you explicitly request it in writing. This applies to both our own models and our LLM sub-processors (OpenAI, Anthropic), who operate under zero-data-retention agreements.
How accurate is Vaquill AI, and how do you prevent hallucinated citations? Every answer runs through a 4-layer verification: exact text match, citation check, meaning analysis, and AI cross-check. Every cited authority links to the official source with the exact passage highlighted.
Which US federal law and state law do you cover for compliance research? Primary law: US Constitution, full US Code, CFR, Federal Rules of Procedure, statute codes of all 52 US jurisdictions, state constitutions, and state court rules. Executive branch: every Executive Order, Proclamation, and Presidential Memo from the Federal Register since 2015.
Does Vaquill AI work with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and your CLM? Microsoft Word and Outlook integrations are on our roadmap. Today, you can export drafts and reviews to DOCX, PDF, and Markdown, and share any matter via a public or private link. Our MCP server connects Vaquill AI to Claude Desktop, ChatGPT Desktop, Cursor, and VS Code. CLM connectors (Ironclad, DocuSign CLM, ContractWorks) are on the roadmap.
Can I add staff attorneys, paralegals, legal ops, and support staff to my account? Yes. Pricing is per seat, so you add team members as members, priced per seat, with role-based access (Owner, Admin, Member, Viewer) and matter-level permissions.
Is our data secure enough for pre-announcement and confidential matters? Yes. AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, US data residency on AWS, full tenant isolation with row-level security, and a contractual no-training commitment. Enterprise-grade controls modeled on SOC 2, with formal attestation underway.
Can I try Vaquill AI before subscribing? Yes. Sign up for a 7-day free trial on any plan. Full feature access during the trial. No credit card required.
What happens to our matters and documents if we cancel? Your matters, documents, and research history remain accessible for 30 days after cancellation. You can export everything. Nothing is deleted without notice.
Do you offer annual billing or discounts for public-interest in-house teams? Yes. Save about 17% with annual billing. We also offer special pricing for in-house legal teams at nonprofits, law students, academic institutions, legal aid organizations, and small public-interest firms.
